The making of Nanomagsat: The Multi Langmuir Probe

NanoMagSat is an ESA scout mission consisting in a constellation of three satellites and designed to better understand the Earth magnetic field and the ionospheric environment. In this video, let’s dive into the making of the multi-needle Langmuir probe, one of the instruments that will be mounted on each NanoMagSat satellite. 

Equipped of four needles, the probe is designed to provide high resolution measurements and extract the crucial information of the plasma in the upper atmosphere.

With a strong experience in space mission, the university of Oslo has designed an instrument capable of measuring with great accuracy.
